Professional Level 5 - (P-5)
International problems require international solutions. Seasoned professionals in leadership roles, managing complex programs, policies, or departments, often involving strategic planning and decision-making. In most organizations, they are representatives, country directors, chief of party, program managers.
What You Will Learn
At the P-5 level, professionals focus on
executive leadership, taking charge of significant organizational units,
shaping policies, and providing strategic direction, demonstrating
exceptional leadership in managing multifaceted programs, fostering
innovation, and influencing global agendas within their specialized domains,
often involving extensive stakeholder engagement and representing the organization
at a senior level internationally. Aiming to improve P-5 level competencies
means mastering the techniques to engage in high-level decision-making,
resource allocation, and having a substantial impact on the organization's
overall strategic direction and effectiveness.
Upon completion, you will possess the skills to :

Meet Your Facilitator
Dr Baruani Yuma Kilundu has over 20 years' experience in international organizations. He has worked for several organizations including Unicef and UNAIDS. Before joining the United Nations, Dr Baruani held a number of positions, working as a teacher, researcher, public health advisor, community development specialist and monitoring and evaluation officer in several countries.
Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, he holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the Université Catholique de Louvain, in 1999. He also received a certificate in Leadership for United Nations Country Teams from the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC, Turin, Italy, 2015), after completing several training courses in leadership, management, personal development and organizational development organized by UNAIDS in partnership with British universities and Yale University (USA).
